Evelyne Almasi gained the right to represent Tanzania in the Miss Earth 2009 finals after finishing at the top slots in the recently concluded Miss Tanzania 2009 beauty pageant by Compass Communication Co. Ltd.
The event was held last night, 30th May 2009 at the Mlimani City Conference Center in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
Evelyne from Dar-es-Salaam is a towering beauty at 180 cm and is a Law graduate.
20 candidates competed in the pageant coming from the different regions of Morogoro, Dodoma, Arusha, Mwanza and Dar Es Salaam.
Miss Earth 2009 has recently been announced to be held on 25 October 2009.
